4XRGB Light Kit

Not long ago, 3XRGB light kit was designed by some keyboard enthusiasts to spice up the customized keyboard game, especially for the novelty keycaps compatible with backlighting. The designers use spectacular skills to attach 2*1206 SMD LED to the surface of the switch combined with the one regular switch LED to create the magical 3XLED backlight. This is, however, quite cumbersome, and not quite as accessible to most users.

Based on the community’s instructions and feedback, we have created 4XRGB light kit. The 4XRGB is installed between the PCB and the plate, the 4 SMD LEDs emit the lights, which shines through any transparent switches (e.g., Tealios), and the effects on box switches (with creamy bottom) are also great.

Here are some pictures and videos of the actual products, and how they look on novelty keycaps. This 4XRGB will no doubt take your keyboard game to the next level.

Most of the PCBs are compatible, including DC60，XD60，Canoe, Rama65, etc. Details of installation instructions will be provided to users. A minimal level of soldering skills are needed.

RGB 四灯

不知道从什么时候开始，为了配合个性键帽，大佬们发明了三灯，也就是通过手术一般精湛的技术，把两颗1206贴片LED“贴”到轴体表面，再配合轴体灯位上的一颗LED，总共三颗。这三颗LED一般选用撞色搭配，为个性键帽看，特别是透光设计的个性键帽增色不少。去年底，我的第一把客制化套件——RAMA M65-A交给白杨代组，自然少不了做一颗三灯。前段时间突然发现这颗骚气的红蓝三灯居然瞎了一只，正在准备拆轴重做之际，被群里大佬安利了一种骚操作——RGB四灯。 4XRGB的安装位置比较骚气，夹在PCB与定位板之间，轴体从中间穿过，四颗测发光灯珠向轴体发光，光线透过轴体被带出来。显然，这适合透明轴体使用，在实际测试中，像BOX轴这种乳白色轴底壳也能得到很好的投射效果。但对于一些黑色轴底壳，透明轴上盖的键帽来说，效果就未知了。 4XRGB有三种接法 第一种，从现有的灯上截获。只要是WS2812B或者SK6812灯，都可以直接将4XRGB并接上去。 第二种方法，接到PCB上的灯带扩展焊盘。客制化PCB一般都预留有额外的或者扩展当前底灯的RGB扩展焊盘，RGB扩展焊盘一般是由3到4个焊盘组成，一般会标注有RGB、VoG，VDG，VCC DATA GND等字样，这时候我们只要把飞线焊接到扩展焊盘上就可以了。 第三种方法，独立的灯控。现在不少灯控板做得非常小，可以塞到空格键下面，还能通过电脑端软件精确设置各种效果。
